Relatively short and easy day of training today. Just 60 minutes on the trainer at lunch time. Since it was short I tried to make it more difficult, cranking up the pressure on the back tire and kicking it up a couple gears. Average Heart Rate 137.

45 minutes run today. Ran along the main road, don't do that anymore. Snow just melted and a lot of cinder and dust kicked up on the road. Probably not too healthy. Ran on perceived exursion (sp?) today as I didn't want to take the HRM.
Since I worked late into last night and was up early this morning, I decided to take in an afternoon movie. Didn't want it cutting into my workout so decided to run there. About 20 minutes out and 25 back. Probably not as good splitting it up but 45 minutes broken up is better than no minutes
Anyway, the movie was well worth it. Visually stunning, the backdrops to the scenes were spectacular. The director reallly knows his stuff when it comes to visuals and making use of the whole screen. Beautiful scenery and excellent choreography. The story itself was good, though I don't like when it drifts too far from what could be reality (running through tops of trees like Crouching Dragon). Thankfully there were only a few scenes that were a stretch, the rest was fairly plausible.
I give it Endurance Levels of 8,7,9. Great Acting, Good Backdrop, Stunning Visuals! Kept me engaged through the whole 2 hours…

Finished up 45 minutes of weight training. Also did bike earlier. See bike section for that.
Wasn't as productive with work today though. Need to spend the rest of the evening catching up on some stuff. Starting part-time contract job beginning of february, so need to take advantage of the time while I have it.

Just spent 90 minutes on the trainer. Watched Step Into Liquid. Pretty good ride. Average HR 132. A little low as I caught myself just going through the motions sometimes. Most of the workout was in the high 130', low 140's.

Just got back from my long run of the week. Only at 60 minutes so far. Started out great heart rate in a good zone. Beautiful day. Sun out and clear blue skies. Much warmer today than previous days this month. Ended up with a much higher heart rate the second half of the run. Avg 144 by the end. Would like to get that in the high 130's.

As always, diet and nutrition is my weakest point. I figure maybe if I start writing it down I'll actually see how awful it is and be motivated to make a change for the better.
Last night was 2 huge slices of pizza, a coke, and a beer while watching "The Day After Tomorrow" on DVD. Which by the way, was bad. Poor acting and a poorer script. Even the special effects couldn't do it for me.

Spent 1 hour and 45 minutes on the trainer this afternoon. Again watched the 2001 Tour, where I left off on Thursday. I have to go get more of those, currently my only one, and maybe some DVD's of past Ironman - though too much fluff in those and not enough to ride with.

Also did a short run about a half hour after the bike. 25 minutes slow and easy. Heart rate still high on the run. Was o.k. on the bike. Kinda bonked a bit at the end of the run.

Just did 60 minutes on the trainer while watching the 2001 Tour on DVD. Pretty good ride, felt better today as I got a good night's rest. Avg HR = 131.
