Started out the day with my usual morning walk to the coffee shop. Certainly wish I cut that out, drinking too much coffee lately… Anyway, came back did a little work, then headed out for a 70 minute run. Weather was great. Sunny, cool breeze, clear blue skies. Great day for a run. Heart rate was a bit high, but to be expected as my training took a bit of a detour over the last week. Work and such. But trained the last few days and feeling good about it.
Wish I had a TV sometimes. Would have liked to watch the oscars this evening. I check out the winners online…

Yes, end of the week has come. Looking forward to the weekend and getting some good workouts in, as well as working on the site. Did a 30 minute run this morning which felt good. Nice crisp air and sunshine.
Wll hopefully also get a chance to put some more time into the site. I need to continue building out the resources and work on grass routes marketing ideas to spread the word. Overall all I like were it's heading, just tons more to do and not so much time.
Was thinking today I need to become better at managing my time. Juggling multiple projects hasn't always been easy for me. I tend to let training and eating well slip. Need to work on scheduling time for everything so days don't go by and I can't recall my last workout or healthy meal I've had.
Little bro will be moving up here in a couple months. He'll definitely help me stick to training and eating. Looking forward to it!

Well, It's been a while since my last post. Been swamped with work, both regular and trifuel. Been a little strapped for cash as well so haven't been eating to well. Grabbing things here and there, mostly coffee - too much coffee.
Hopefully things will begin to normalize once I catch up on some projects. Was excited for a good weekend of workouts but it snowed and the motivation wasn't there. Instead spent more time sitting in front of computer.
Did try to start up again today and ran 30 minutes. It started out fine bu I quickly lost energy. Need to hit the grocery store to stock up after payday on Friday. In any event, it was good to get back to training. I gotta kick myself out of this slump and prioritize with my health over my money.
Keep my mind on my health and my health on my mind!

Today was my long "easy" run. I quote easy because as usual I didn't keep my heart rate down. One hour, 25 minutes total duration at an avg hr of 150. So, bad thing is that's still way to high. Good thing, I guess, is that I now know I can handle almost 90 minutes at medium tempo heart rate.
I had actually been looking forward to today's run since early last week when I checked out what the weekend had in store. Funny, cause I used to dread the running. Now I quite enjoy it. Would enjoy it more if I could keep my heart rate down though
. Anyway all-in-all it was a good training day and a confidence booster.
Post run I did some work then decided to take in a movie. Wasn't much out that I wanted to see so I saw Hide and Seek. Was pretty good (entertaining) for the first 2/3, but I didn't much care for the ending. So, probably a 3/5 stars from me.

Rode the trainer today for a little over 1 hour, 45 minutes. Don't know catwood does it. got completely drained towards the end. Was supposed to go a little longer but could muster the energy.
Watched Fight Club for the hundredth time. Great flick, gets a little muddled towards the end but some good scenes through out the flick. Let it Slide, my new motto. If it's not really important, Let it Slide! Focus on less and do more of what's important, don't sweat the small stuff.

Just a basic easy spin tonight on the trainer. A couple segments of higher intensity, but for the most part just focused on keeping the cadence up and maintaining a HR about 20 beats below my MAHR. Averaged 125, so right on the money. Watched the Lance documentary from a couple years back, "Road to Paris".
Getting back in the work swing, unfortunately I'm falling into my old habits of late workouts and even later dinner's. 8:10 now and just sitting down to eat. Need to try and get more of my workouts done in the early morning or at lunch, so I can resume some sanity on my eating patterns. Need to make sure I balance training, work, trifuel, and not get sucked into last year's downward spiral.
Moving up here and working out of the house will definitely help. Besides, who am I to complain. Got it pretty good really.

Day two of being back to my contract job. Pretty good day in juggling projects. Worked about 9:00 - 6:30 with an hour lunch break. Did a 45 minute run during lunch. Beautiful day and took teh dog with me.
Just finsihed up work and now adding some stuff to trifuel. Just posted an Interview with Peter Reid. Good stuff, talks about his training and racing and how he stays in base phase for a couple months at a time.
Probably grab some dinner now and read a book or watch a flick, or spend more time of trifuel

Ah, finally getting to sit and relax. Been a long one. Started with my usually work on trifuel, followed by a weight training session.
Today is my 2nd day back with my contract job so I'm working on the time management/juggling of projects thing. Spent most of the day working with a trip to Mailboxes etc to fax in some paperwork. Finished up work for the day at around 6:45 and was on the trainer by 7:00.
One hour later, averaged 130 HR and sweated up a storm. Quick shower,
walk to the grocery store, cook some dinner, and now sittin on the
couch. Ahh… I know sob story
Most of you juggle work, family,
training, and more.
This morning coffee walk was a double treat. The river Otters and the Eagle were out for viewing pleasure. I still need to get a picture of them though.

Today was my longest run so far for this season. 1 hour, 15 minutes. I was a little nervous heading out, but I felt good most of the run. It was a bit cold and windy and took a good 15 minutes to get warmed up, but I kept truckin along. Ran a new trail I found by the house. Heads out the national forest so that was a good find. Slight up hill going out so it was harder and slower heading out, but that made it faster and easier coming back. 149 avg. hr. a little high still but I'm just happy to have logged the time.

Spent 1:45 on the trainer this morning. Kinda tough today staying focused on the trainer. Was a little drained half way through and found myself falling out of form and cadence a few times. Was supposed to do 2 hours but just couldn't push myself for another 15 minutes. Oh, well at least I got the ride in.
