Forever the tinkerer… It’s been too long since my last post. I realize I’m not much of a blogger, posting full entries like this is hard for me to keep up. So… I’ve been bouncing an idea around for a while, actually about a year. How to make a simpler tool for connecting with my endurance/adventure friends, and connecting with new friends globally and locally. Fittingly, along with my theme of being “Endurable”, I’ve been developing a new hub for those that share the passions most of you reading this share. It’s more than Triathlon, it’s about all the sports and activities we do to stay endurable. Trail running, hiking, climbing, mountain biking, paddling, yoga, etc.
The idea behind Endurable is to create a new brand with products and services to promote our endurable lifestyle and keep us connected, motivated, and inspired to make this a life long journey. The first phase of this was actually Trifuel. My overall goals haven’t changed, but my interests have expanded and I wanted to reflect that in new projects. I might not do Ironmans for the rest of my life. I’ll do more for sure, but one was pretty darn tough
. But, I can (and will) run, cycling, hike, camp, climb, and have fun pushing my body and trying new things. Endurable is about just that. It’s a site that’s less about tracking numbers and statistics, and more about tracking friends, forging relationships, and enjoying our passions for our chosen activities. The friendships and connections with others are what will enable us to keep pushing and to maintain our active/endurable lifestyle for years to come.
So the new site will be where I host my blog now:
endurable.us/paul
The site is currently open for new members. I may close to ‘invite only’ shortly, just to better be able to manage it. I want this site to be mini hubs of friends around the country motivating one another and sharing in their activities.
Some Site Features:
- Activity entries… a mini blog of sorts for posting what you did today (so much easier for me than posting a full blog entry)
- Blogs… If you don’t have a blog or want one just for your endurable active lifestyle, you get a simple to use blog here.
- Photo Gallery… The new site makes it easy to post photos to share with all and to roll them up into your own section.
- Events… events will be listed on the new site instead of trifuel most likely. it’s a better system and allows for comments/discussion per event, and list ‘who’s attending’ with the click of a button.
- Personal Profile page… each member gets a personal profile page with their interests, latest blog posts, activity entries, photos, events their attending, goals/things they want to do, list of buddies.
- Buddy Lists… As a member you can invite your friends to join and add them to your buddy lists. You’ll be able to easily track what your list of friends are doing and what events they are attending.
Much more coming…
Are you endurable?
